The aggressive method for blocking spam can also be the most conservative - we put an appliance on your network.

Our spam filter is tried and tested - and in use on thousands of machines around the world.  We personally manage a handful of these devices and the false-positive rate is somewhere below 0.0001%.

 The spam filter employs more than 4 methods that independent of eachother to take care of different types of email that may come in. 

• There is a greylist to be sure the sending MTA has retry built-in (spammers do not)
• There is spamassassin which scores messages based on hundreds of criteria
• Mailscanner takes care of cleaning any messages that were found by spamassassin - and has many rules to block bad attachments
• ClamAV will block any known virus from getting through
